The Possession
A beautiful forest in the middle of nowhere. When we arrived at the cabin, we never would have imagined this. Everything seemed fi ne, but... we... we found some symbols in the rooms and later... a book. It was strange. Its cover was like skin, and had such awful drawings... I begged them not to open it, not to read. Than at night, one of my friends changed. His face... I cannot describe exactly what happened. He started to scream, running and talking about possessions, fire; he said all those symbols were altars and that... we were damned. He stripped the pages off, crossing all rooms, crying, mad. Since then... I... sometimes... I fall asleep, and when I wake up I am covered with blood. I guess I am possessed. Sometimes I am me. Sometimes I am them ... coming for me. We do not want to die. We think if we find the pages of that book and burn it in one altar, maybe... maybe this nightmare can end.An evil force is after you. It wants to possess you all and it compels you to attack each other. Maybe this is because that old book. Surely the only way to stop this madness is to find those pages. Will you get it before it kills you, before it swallows your soul? Trust no one! At the beginning of a round, all players roll a die: the more wounds you have, the more easily you become a possessed. Then players play an action card to indicate how many actions they can play and how much they risk suffering an evil event. This risk is higher in the cards that give more actions. When a player finds enough pages from the book of the dead and burns them in an altar, before the evil owns all players, he becomes the winner. By using the action points, players can cover the house looking for the pages as well as objects, weapons, and keys to get into the basement and attic-; they can also rest in order to get back the action cards played and heal wounds to keep alive. A possessed player must attack his friends so that the evil inside him feeds of his crime and not with his soul. He will be able to smash doors, escape for windows to get inside in other rooms and so, surprise another players. He will have more action points depending on his possessing level. The other players can attack the possessed ones. The only way to stop them is dismembering them completely — but these amputated members will be wandering around ready to claw and strangle whoever gets close enough... The winner is the player who burns the Necronomicon pages in a room with an altar symbol after getting the valid dice result. If, at any time during play, all players are dead or Possessed, the game ends immediately and the winner is the player who has the most Trophy points. If two or more players are tied, all of them are declared winners.
